On 13 November 2020, Khorog hosted a significant event that combined the Graduation Ceremony and the Presentation of the Garment Factory “Pamir Fabric.” The program brought together leaders, partners, and community members to celebrate new opportunities created through education, skills development, and local industry. The event was honored by the participation of the first deputy of the head of GBAO, the first deputy of the Mayor of Khorog City, and other high-ranking officials. The First Deputy of the Head of GBAO delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude to the foundation for its continuous efforts to improve the quality of life for the people of the Badakhshan region. Prior to his remarks, the Chairman of FBL USA, Mr. Jalal Sultan, addressed the audience, sharing insights about the foundation’s mission, activities, and the establishment of the Pamir Fabric garment factory. Several students of Khorog State University, particularly those from vulnerable families, rural areas, and low-income backgrounds, were awarded full or partial scholarships to support their higher education. Their inclusion in the program highlighted the foundation’s dedication to educational support and equal opportunity. In addition, several women received their certificates for completing the Stitching and Tailoring Training provided by PO “Fond Baroi Zindagii Behtar.” Their accomplishment marks an important step toward economic empowerment and self-sufficiency. The Head of the Education Department also attended and delivered a speech, expressing appreciation to the foundation for supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds, as well as orphans, and for making higher education more accessible. A special part of the event was the official presentation of the Pamir Fabric Garment Factory, launched by the foundation. The factory team introduced their work, goals, and future vision. The presentation concluded with an engaging fashion show, where the factory showcased a collection of its locally produced garments—demonstrating creativity, quality, and the potential of local craftsmanship. The ceremony was further supported by the participation of the Head of AKF, representatives of local NGOs, schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and various government institutions. Staff members of the foundation and the garment factory were also present. All participants expressed their satisfaction with the achievements and positive impact of PO “Fond Baroi Zindagii Behtar” and its ongoing commitment to the community. The event stood as a celebration of progress, dedication, and collaboration—highlighting how strategic support and community-driven initiatives can create meaningful change across the region.
